A sudden discovery left the famous actor fearing the worst.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is known for his many film roles, often transforming his appearance to suit the characters he plays.

According to LADbible, he previously gained around 14 kilograms (31 pounds) for his role as MMA fighter Mark Kerr before later losing the weight again.

High demands

Dwayne Johnson has explained that weight fluctuations are part of the job as an actor.

At the same time, he has emphasized that he does not use extreme methods, instead giving his body time to adapt to the different roles.

However, while working on new projects, he was confronted with a very different concern.

Waiting for answers

In an interview with Esquire, Dwayne Johnson revealed that he discovered a painful lump in one of his testicles shortly before a press event for the film Jumanji: Open World.

He sought medical attention but did not receive a clear answer immediately.

His doctor believed it could be an inflammatory condition, but cancer could not be ruled out.

As a result, he was scheduled for further examination the following day.

According to Esquire, Dwayne Johnson attended the event while waiting for the results.

The final diagnosis

For about 24 hours, the actor lived with uncertainty about what the lump might be.

It was only after undergoing an ultrasound scan that he received a definitive answer.

The examination showed that the lump was not cancerous. Instead, it was caused by epididymitis, an inflammation of the epididymis.

The serious suspicion was therefore dismissed, and Dwayne Johnson was able to move forward with no signs of cancer, Esquire reports.
