The sport plays a central role in Donald Trump’s daily life and in his family’s leisure activities.

Health Digest reports that Donald Trump plays golf regularly and that the sport is also practiced by his granddaughter Kai, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr.

Her public Instagram profile refers to her interest in golf, and in 2024, she thanked her grandfather for access to courses owned by his company.

Golf is often perceived as a calm recreational activity, but an 18-hole round involves several kilometers of walking and repeated swings that engage both the upper body and the legs.

Even when using a golf cart, the game requires physical effort.

According to Golf Monthly, a full round can burn up to 1,000 calories, depending on terrain and intensity.

A coach told Golf Monthly that while golf does not match high-intensity aerobic training, it can strengthen both physical and mental fitness.

Differences within the family

Several of Trump’s grandchildren are described on social media as being active in sports such as jiu-jitsu, horseback riding, American football, and cheerleading.

These activities appear in posts shared by Ivanka Trump and Lara Trump.

The president’s own health profile has also attracted attention.

Health Digest states that his BMI is 28. In addition, his diet is often associated with fast food, and he is not known for prioritizing traditional exercise.

For this reason, golf can be regarded as a significant part of his overall physical activity.

Performance and perspective

Trump’s official handicap is 2.8, according to Health Digest. The outlet writes that this figure is lower than the recorded handicaps of other U.S. presidents.
