One cup of raspberries carries 8 grams of fiber, close to a third of the daily target packed into a handful of berries. That is among the highest of any commonly eaten fruit, and only part of why nutrition researchers keep returning to this berry.
In an 8-week randomized controlled trial published in Nutrients in December 2020, 48 adults at elevated risk of metabolic syndrome ate 280 grams of raspberries a day, roughly two cups. They saw improvements in immune function markers.
