Kelly Rowland has changed several habits in her daily life to manage her skin condition.

Many people with skin problems try different solutions to get their symptoms under control.

The same is true for singer Kelly Rowland, who has adjusted several aspects of her daily routine over the years, she told Business Insider.

One of the biggest changes has been giving up alcohol.

She originally did so to gain more energy and improve her overall health. At the same time, she experienced fewer periods of skin irritation.

According to Business Insider, alcohol can contribute to inflammation and dehydration in some people, which may worsen skin symptoms.

Diet and balance

Rowland has also become more aware of how different foods affect her.

She says that tomatoes and onions, among other foods, are sometimes linked to subsequent flare-ups.

She also finds that foods such as red meat and sugar often make her symptoms worse.

On the other hand, she feels better when her diet mainly consists of vegetables, fish, and other simple ingredients.

Stress also plays an important role. For that reason, she uses meditation and relaxing routines when everyday life becomes busy.

At the same time, she tries to limit work commitments that take too much time away from her family, Business Insider reports.

The diagnosis came later

Before receiving an explanation for her problems, Kelly Rowland tried various recommendations and products, including skin oils and cold baths.

Some of these attempts did not help, and a few even made her symptoms worse, according to Rowland.

For extended periods, she experienced itching and rashes on several parts of her body. The condition was so bothersome that she sometimes had to cancel plans and events.

It was not until after the birth of her eldest son, Titan, in 2014 that Kelly Rowland finally received an explanation.

She was diagnosed with eczema, and since then, consultations with her doctor, along with lifestyle changes, have helped reduce her flare-ups.
